project summary
The original redesign of the Texas Tech homepage marked a significant shift toward a more user-centric, digital-first approach. Since its launch, the website has undergone several iterations to better meet the needs of its target audiences as defined by leadership.
For the initial overhaul, the primary focus was to create an intuitive experience that prioritized the needs of prospective students. This involved a comprehensive reevaluation of content hierarchy and a refined visual language to enhance user engagement.
After desktop and market research, I developed four possible wireframe experinces. The fifth and final wireframe was established through a working meeting with leadership and aligned both user needs and institutional goals.

ux evaluation
Hanover Research conducted an evaluation in September 2024 that garnered positive results from the participants for the homepage. It was described as “exciting,” “informative,” “attractive,” and “engaging.” While there were suggestions for improvements, many of these have already been taken into consideration as we continue to evolve Texas Tech's digital presence.
